The caged bird

Here's somehting I did for animation. It's one of my many concept pieces for an animated Aesop's fable we may do next semester (if mine is chosen. We get put into groups and we each have to pitch our fable. then we choose one. If mine gets chosen, me and my group shall animate it! ).

This is the bird for the fable 'the caged bird and the bat' (synopsis: [link] ).

This was done by drawing the line art, then in photoshop, adding different textures to sections of the body. In this case, splattered of yellow/green paint I did and a book and paper cover from here:

Oh, and this is a warbler. A song bird.
